Cultars is conducting research on the relationship between "culture and business" to support the broader concept of "cultural arts." While cultural arts often originate from specific individuals or groups, corporations play a crucial role in the process of these cultural elements permeating society. Particularly, with the increasing diversification of values, there might be insights in the rise of companies that do not prioritize growth-centric or consumerism-first ideologies. Cultars will continue researching the contemporary interaction between businesses and culture.
Cultars is also launching the assessment initiative "Cultural Impact Assessment (tentative)" to evaluate the actualities of cultural investments, support, and business operations. Using a multifaceted approach with quantitative and qualitative indicators, Cultars aims to contribute to the creation of a society where culture permeates more broadly and flexibly. The assessment criteria, as of October 2022, are in the hypothesis stage, and there are plans to evolve them into more systematic evaluation indicators.
Five Components of "Cultural Impact Assessment (tentative)"
1. Culture Investment Target
Evaluation of the focus areas of cultural investment.
2. Governance
Assessment of decision-making criteria and management processes.
3. Workers and Family
Evaluation of the impact on employees and their families.
4. Customers
Assessment of the influence on customers and end-users.
5. Community
Evaluation of connections beyond the company, considering the broader community.

We will conduct a quantitative assessment of the company's cultural impact based on the five criteria.

Additionally, we will evaluate the unique characteristics that cannot be quantified as the company's distinctive color through qualitative assessment.
